Founder / Lead Sports Coach
Mark Flaxman
Mark is a passionate and highly experienced sports coach who founded Sport4Fitness CIC in 2015 with the mission of creating inclusive and engaging sports opportunities for children and adults, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). With nearly two decades of experience in sports coaching, community engagement, and supporting individuals with SEN, Mark is dedicated to making sports accessible and enjoyable for all.
​
Mark plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality sports sessions at various community events, schools, and inclusive programs. His expertise spans a wide range of sports, including Frisbee Golf, Dodgeball, Athletics, Tennis, Boccia, Archery, Football, Rounders, and many more. He thrives on creating fun, adaptable, and inclusive sessions where participants of all abilities can develop their skills, build confidence, and experience the joy of sport.

A firm believer in the power of sports to transform lives, Mark takes pride in seeing participants grow, both physically and socially. His sessions are designed to encourage teamwork, improve physical health, and foster a lifelong love for being active.

Mark continues to expand his expertise and develop innovative programs that create positive experiences for all participants. His leadership and commitment to inclusive sports make him a key driving force behind Sport4Fitness CIC’s success in the community.

Principle Project Manager
Rachel Flaxman
Rachel is the driving force behind the planning and execution of both ongoing and new initiatives at Sport4Fitness CIC. As our Principal Project Manager, she plays a pivotal role in ensuring our projects are impactful, inclusive, and aligned with our mission of empowering young people through sports and creative arts.

A qualified sports coach with over 12 years of experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), Rachel is deeply passionate about creating inclusive environments where all young people can thrive. Her expertise extends beyond coaching, as she specializes in sensory play—an approach that fosters engagement, communication, and development for children with additional needs.
​
Rachel’s leadership extends to youth engagement programs, including her role as the lead organizer of the Northampton Youth Summit—a groundbreaking annual conference that gives young people (ages 13 and up) a platform to discuss key issues affecting their generation. She is dedicated to amplifying youth voices, fostering positive social change, and supporting young leaders in their personal and professional development.

Rachel’s approach to project management is both strategic and hands-on; she works closely with schools, volunteers, and community partners to develop inclusive sports and youth initiatives that break down barriers and create meaningful opportunities for all participants.​

With a commitment to inclusive sports, youth empowerment, and community engagement, Rachel continues to make a lasting impact at Sport4Fitness CIC. Her dedication ensures that every child and young person, regardless of ability or background, has access to enriching and supportive experiences.

Sports Coach (Specialisum in Fitness)
Harry Brown
Harry is a dedicated and passionate community sports coach with extensive experience in grassroots football, leisure centre operations, and fitness instruction. Having worked closely with local football teams and leisure centres, he has developed a strong understanding of how to engage and inspire individuals of all ages and abilities through sport and physical activity.
​
With a deep-rooted passion for fitness, Harry is committed to creating inclusive, fun, and motivating environments that encourage participation and personal development. His hands-on approach and ability to connect with young people make him a valuable mentor and role model within the community. Whether coaching on the pitch, leading fitness sessions in a gym setting, or delivering inclusive multi-sport activities, Harry strives to help individuals build confidence, improve their physical well-being, and develop positive life skills through sport.

Sports Coach (Specialisum in Youth Work)
Haroon Kherry
Harron is one of our dedicated sports coaches, bringing enthusiasm and energy to every session. After volunteering with us since 2022, he gained valuable experience assisting in coaching our 3-7 years football class. His passion for coaching and commitment to youth development has made him an integral part of our team.
​
Harron is always eager to develop new skills and broaden his impact in the community. He is currently part of the Northampton Youth Ambassador Programme and the Northampton Local, working alongside other young leaders to drive positive change. Additionally, he is studying for his JNC Level 2 in Youth Work to further his expertise in supporting and mentoring young people.
Beyond coaching, Harron enjoys engaging with the community by designing and delivering unique, tailored activities during our events and sessions. His dedication ensures that every participant feels included, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Sensory Garden Manger / Company Director
Steven Rockall
Steve is dedicated to helping Sport4Fitness grow and create opportunities for children to enjoy outdoor activities. A retired Northamptonshire Police Officer with 30 years of service, he has since worked in construction management and now plays a key role in Sport4Fitness’s administration and fundraising. He also serves as a Parish Councillor at Billing Parish Council.
​
As Sensory Garden Manager, Steve oversees the garden’s development, ensuring it provides a stimulating and inclusive outdoor space for young people. He is also a Community Champion with The Hope Centre’s Grow Cook Eat initiative, promoting sustainable food practices and healthy living.
​
Previously, Steve was a Parent Governor at Ecton Brook Middle School and spent 17 years with Billing United Football Club as vice chairman and treasurer, organizing international football tours.

Company Director / Activity Support / Caretaker
Peter Gammage
Pete is the team’s ‘go-to’ guy, always ready to lend a hand, share a story, or keep things running smoothly. As company director, activity support, and caretaker, he ensures the pavilion is clean, safe, and welcoming, with his trusty brush always in action—rain or shine.
Beyond maintenance, Pete is a pillar of support, setting up equipment, assisting with activities, or simply putting the kettle on. With years as a market trader and an expert in vintage tins, he’s a natural conversationalist, effortlessly connecting with visitors, especially the children.
​
His warmth, reliability, and dedication make him an irreplaceable part of the team—Sport4Fitness simply wouldn’t be the same without him!
