Autumn 2019 Newsletter

Fantastic News

We are extremely pleased to be able to announce that Avery Healthcare, who have been using our facilities throughout the summer have made us a fantastic offer of financial support for at least the next three years to allow us to continue to be able to provide, sports, activities and play sessions for both children and adults.

Avery Healthcare are prominent in both the local area and across the country providing care home living for the elderly, and those requiring dementia care. Their support to us and our activities shows their caring attitude to all ages from children to the elderly. We are extremely grateful for their support and are looking forward to working with Avery Healthcare in the future.

Following a very successful Summer providing sporting activities for many children with a special need we wanted to raise awareness of our work. We want to meet with more charitable groups and SEND schools to extend our work for those in need. Our new pavilion and first class grassed areas provide a premier facility for all to have the opportunity to enjoy our outdoor activities.

Our ethos is that Everyone Can Achieve irrespective of the severity of their disability. We are a non-profit making organisation and the staging of our activities would not be possible without the generous support of local businesses, donations and grants received from charitable trusts. With your help we are sure we can continue to reach out to many special children and help to improve their health and wellbeing.

We urge local businesses to make use of our facilities for events such as meetings, training days, seminars, team building days, parties & special occasions. This support then enables us to stage many activities & make a difference to many lives

Thank You To All Our Helpers & Volunteers

Our Sunday Afternoon multi sports disability club now runs from our new pavilion and we will be contacting SEND schools to ask them to spread the message and encourage families to attend.
We tailor the activities to suit the needs of the children and also welcome participation from parents carers and non disabled siblings, creating a special afternoon for the whole family.

Without All Your Support None Of This Is Possible

We have received some feedback as a result of our Summer activities and would like to share some of the comments with you;

“Thank-you for all your help today. My child had a brilliant time and came home so happy!”

“I just wanted to email you to say thank you so much for the lovely day you gave my child yesterday. He clearly had a good day and enjoyed himself and is looking forward to coming back next week. Once again, thank you all so much for making my child so welcome and comfortable on his first day”

We would like to say a huge Thank You to others who have supported us during 2019

Thank you to everybody who dropped one (or more) of Tesco’s blue chips into the Sport4Fitness box at Tesco Stores recently. As a result we have received a community grant from Tesco/Groundwork.

With thanks to Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby, soon the construction of our all weather putting green will be complete giving further sporting opportunities for the children to use.

Our Story Continues

During the forthcoming Autumn/Winter months we will be running children’s’ (Ages 3-7) Sunday morning football and rugby and afternoon introduction to golf sessions.
