As a leading autism charity we exist to ensure autistic people can live their lives with dignity, choice and independence.
Autism East Midlands was started on the initiative of a group of parents in 1968. Today we are still led by the parents and friends of autistic people.
We provide help and support to families and individuals affected by autism from across Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, surrounding counties and beyond.

Northants Parent Forum Group (NPFG) is an independent parent-led group formed and run by volunteers to represent the views of all families of children and young people up to aged 25 with special education needs and / or disabilities (SEND) in Northamptonshire.
We work in partnership with service commissioners and providers, sharing knowledge and experience of families to help plan and develop the quality, range and accessibility of provision, creating better outcomes for families through participation and co-production.
En-Fold – Autism Support service
En-Fold works with individuals and carers at any stage of their diagnostic journey, to provide information and support. We recognise that going through the diagnostic pathway can be a long and challenging process, with a sense of isolation afterwards.
Unfortunately, some individuals and in individual cases, their families and carers, can get lost in the diagnostic system, usually unable to receive support. Through our autism support service, our training and our online web recourse, we can equip individuals and families with knowledge and support.
The Local Offer is a website established as part of the SEND Code of Practice of 2015 to set out the provision and support that is available in the county for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. It has an active social media presence and provides information about activities and opportunities for children and young people. It is provided by Northamptonshire County Council. Each local authority must provide a Local Offer website for the community.
